Newport leave Wycombe in the mireTwo goals in six minutes plunged Wycombe closer to the relegation zone as Newport recorded a 2-0 victory at Rodney Parade.Christian Jolley and Chris Zebroski both struck in quick-succession in the second-half to leave the Chairboys ahead of second-bottom Northampton on goal difference only.Victory was only Newport's second win in their last 10 games but should be enough to secure their place in Sky Bet League Two for another year following their promotion last season. The result was tough on Wanderers who came closest to scoring first despite Newport dominating possession as Matt McClure's shot was cleared off the line by Wales international Darcy Blake.Ian McLoughlin then saved acrobatically to deny Steven Craig but almost gifted the striker a goal early in the second half when he failed to collect Max Kretzschmar's low cross. But it was the hosts who went ahead when Rene Howe flicked on Ryan Jackson's long throw and Jolley tucked the ball inside Matt Ingram's near post after 65 minutes.Howe then supplied Zebroski who fired into the top netting on 71 minutes to put the game beyond the visitors.Wycombe have not won in their last six games on the road but will at least have home advantage for next Friday's crucial clash with Northampton
